Is healing for all?

Does God want everybody healed? Let’s bring it closer to home. IS HEALING FOR YOU? Does God want you healed? As long as you’re in two minds as to whether God wants to heal you, or question if it’s God’s will to heal you, you will never be able to release your faith because you will be in uncertainty. You cannot believe beyond your knowledge of God’s word, but once you’ve got the knowledge it’s easy to release your faith. Where God’s word is known, faith is active. So let’s find out what the word says about our quest. To answer this question, we first have to ask another question. Does God want everybody saved?

1Timothy 2:1-4; "I exhort therefore, that first, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for ALL men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead apeaceable  and quiet life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior Who will have ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, and to come into the knowledge of the truth."

The apostle Paul emphatically declares to Timothy that God wants to save everybody. We can see from this scripture that it is God’s desire for all men to be saved. Salvation is available to everybody, whatever color, race or nationality, whether rich or poor, and whatever walk of life. Since we can see from scripture that it is God’s will for all men to be saved, we can safely conclude that it is also the will of God fo all to be healed. Remember that healing is part of the salvation package. So then, if God wants all men saved ,He also wants all men healed. Healing cannot and should not be separated from salvation. If we want to find God’s will concerning healing, apart from the written word, there are four places we can look to find out about it:

(a) The Garden of Eden, (b) The ministry of Jesus, (c) Heaven (d) The Word of God.

These are not placed in order of importance. All four that are mentioned are equally important.

Garden of Eden

Did you notice that in the Garden of Eden before Adam sinned there was no sickness and disease? Everything was in order and harmony. Adam, Eve and every animal were well. That was God’s will for them. Sickness and disease came on the wing of sin after Adam sinned and fell. If it was God’s will in the garden of Eden for Adam and Eve to be well then it is also His will today that all be healed since Henever changes.

Malachi 3:6; "For I am the Lord , I change not…"

The ministry of Jesus

Jesus said, whilst He was ministering on earth, that He came representing the Father.

John 14:9;"…He that hath seen me hath seen the Father."

John 5:19; ,Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself. But what he seeth the Father do; For what things soever He doeth, there ALSO DOETH THE SON LIKEWISE"

John 6:38; "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."

We can see from the scriptures that Jesus was God’s will in action; Jesus came to do, and to show us, the will of God. He was the personified will of the Father. He executed what his Father wanted. Everything that Jesus did was a reflection of what the Father wanted to do. Jesus simply executed his will on the earth.

Hebrews 10:7; "Then said I, Lo, I came (in the volume of the book it is written to Me) TO DO THY WILL, O GOD"

Since Jesus is God’s will in action, let’s find out what He did concerning sickness and disease. What did Jesus do? He healed all who came to him and never once refused anyone. Once we find out God’s will about sickness and disease through Jesus we than can appropriate faith for healing since He doesn’t change.

Hebrews 13;8; "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today and forever."

Let's also look at heaven. We know that when we get to heaven there will be no pain, no sickness and no disease. It should be impossible to conceive we will be sick in heaven: it is a place of health and prosperity, rest and comfort. This is good news for the future, but what about right here and now? Do we have to be sick and take it graciously until we get to heaven? No way! In teaching His disciples how to pray, Jesus said, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Luke in his writing echoes this, simply and powerfully: “Thy will be done, as inheaven, so in earth.” (Luke 11:2).

I like that. It’s talking about the “here and now:, not in the ‘sweet by and by’. Jesus is saying the will of God which is already settled in heaven is to be done in our lives today. We all that there is no sickness in heaven and that ALL who are there are healthy, right? So, it’s God’s will in heaven that ALL be healed and well. OK then, is the will of God is to be done in earth as it is in heaven, only the logical conclusion is that we all be healed here on earth.  I found out that you don’t need to wait to get to heaven to lead a heavenly life, you can have a piece of heaven here on earth.

The Word of God

The bible is God speaking to you. It is our manual for life. Jesus echoed the words of his Father when he said, 'Man shall live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.' The Word is the revealed will of God. Whenever you read the Word, you will discover the will of God for your life. You must realize that the Old and New Testament are the Revealed will of God for the heir of salvation. That's you and I! No one is  permitted to alter or add to any of the will of God. Anything that is added or taken away is tampering with a legal testament. This is forgery and therefore illegal. In the Scriptures a curse is incurred for adding or taking away from the Word. No dead preacher or institution has a right to change the will of the testator after he has died. As long as the testator is alive he can change his will if he so chooses but once he dies no one has the right to change the will. Jesus was not only the testator who died but he arose victoriously after  three days in the grave and is now the mediator of the New Covenant. So what does the word say about your healing?

Did Jesus come to heal?

The Lord Jesus quoting from the prophet Isaiah announces,

Luke 4;18; "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because  he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: HE HATH SENT ME TO HEALTHE BROKEN HEARTED, TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED."

JESUS CAME TO PREACH AND TO HEAL. People knew he came to heal. That’s what the bible says,

Luke 5:15; "But so much more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to HEAR AND BE HEALED BY HIM OF THEIR INFIRMITIES."

Luke 6;17; "And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judea and Jerusalem, and the from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,

Jesus, mission on the earth was to preach the good news, break the power of sin and satan, save humanity and heal the sick.

How many did Jesus heal?

Matthew 12:15;"And great multitudes followed him, AND HE HEALED THEM ALL."

Matthew 14;34-36; "And when they were gone over they came into the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place had knowledge of Him they sent out into all that country round about, and  brought unto Him all that were diseased; And they besought Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment, and AS MANY AS TOUCHED HIM WERE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE."

Luke 6:19; "And the whole multitude sought to touch Him: for there went virtue out of Him, and  HEALED THEM ALL."

The Bible clearly unveils to us that the Lord Jesus healed all thatcame to Him for healing. There is not one place in the bible where Jesus refused to heal someone. He healed them all. Peter in Acts 10:38 sums up the ministry of Jesus upon the earth and His attitude toward sickness. We will use this as final authority for us to see that it is God’s will to heal all:

Acts 10:38; "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: WHO WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD AND HEALING ALL THAT WERE OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL; FOR GOD WAS WITH HIM."

Jesus went about doing good and healing all. Jesus did that on purpose; He went on His way to heal all that were oppressed of the devil. He went about doing good, healing is doing good, not devilish. What really excites me here is that it says,’ for God was with him’. That means that God backs the healing of all; He wanted, and still wants, everybody  healed. Isn’t that good news? I’m glad God didn’t say to Jesus, YOU CAN HEAL HIM, BUT NOT HIM OVER THERE! No, Praise God! He wants everybody well. If  Salvation is available for all, then so is healing as they are inseparable. Yes, it is God’s will to heal all and you are part of A.L.L. That means it is God’s will for you to be healed. Never forget what God utter in the last book of the old Testament

Malachi 3:6; “For I am the Lord, I change  not…”

Healing is for all today, so don’t let the devil or any preacher talk you into thinking it’s only for some of a lucky few. Healing is available to all who want it. This is what promised that we can experience on the earth,

Deuteronomy 11:21; "That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, AS THE DAYS OF HEAVEN UPON THE EARTH."

On Calvary's Cross, Jesus didn’t only make a provision for you to be free from the power of sin, He also made provision for your healing. Jesus’ redemptive work broke the power of sin, sickness, disease and poverty.

1 Peter 2:24; "Who His own self bare out sins His own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed."

Matthew 8:17; "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses."

Healing is available for all today- its our legal inheritance. The Word of God says so and that settles it.

Most Certainly! (G.A)
