Connect To God

The true purpose of our Christian life is to connect with God. Every believer needs to have a divine encounter. Without divine encounter, our Christian life will be nothing but theoretical. From the olden days, people have endeavored to connect with the supernatural and the yearning is still here today. Unfortunately people try to fill this void with sex, cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. How did people connect with God in the olden days? They did so through an altar. Now in this modern world, people don't have a clue about that. Whenever Abraham wanted to connect with God, he erected an altar.

Genesis 12:7; "The LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him."

What is an altar?

  1. An altar is a place where the natural connect with the supernatural.
  2. An altar is a place of sacrifice - The Cross was the greatest altar ever erected.
  3. An altar is a place the divine communed with the natural

How does that apply to us today?

We still need altars today. Here are three altars that you need in your life in order for you to connect with God.

  • The altar of the Word

The bible is not just a book. It is God speaking to you. The WORD OF GOD MUST BE THE FIRST AND FINAL AUTHORITY IN YOUR LIFE.

  • The altar of worship

Worship is you releasing your adoration and respect to God. God loves true worshippers.

  • The altar of the church

Church is an invention of God and we all need church.
