Cast your cares upon the Lord

Psalm 55:22; "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

1 Peter 5:7; "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7; "Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns], once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully." (Amplified Bible)

Matthew 6:25; "Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life" (Amplified Bible)

It is not God's will for you to go through life and be worrried about anything. In fact from today, I want you to view worry as sin. As a born again believer, you have someone upon whom you can cast your concerns, cares, worries, anxieties and burdens. Our burden bearer is Christ. The people of this world use drugs, alcohol and other stuff as forms of escape mechanism to deal with their problems but that is not God's solutions for you.  The believer is divinely mandated "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything" (Philippians 4:6, Amplified). What does 'anything' mean? It means 'anything and everything' That means:

  • Don't worry about your life
  • Don't worry about money
  • Don't worry about your spouse
  • Don't worry about your children
  • Don't worry about your house payment
  • Don't worry about your past
  • Dn't worry about your present
  • Don't worry about your future
  • Don't worry about the bill you have in your hands
  • Don't worry about what you are worrying about right now.

'So what am I suppose to do about what I am worried about?' I hear you ask. Well, do what the bible says to do - 'Cast your care, your burden, your worries upon him' In Greek the word 'cast' means to 'roll'. Let your burden roll over your shoulders and unto the shoulders and hand of God. You see, here is a wonderful truth hat I have learnt. In whoever's hand the problem is in then that hand is repsonsible to do smething about it. Now, there is your hand and the hand of God. As long as the problem is in your hand then you have to do something about it. The prophet Isaiah gives us a great revelation in his prophetic book, 'Behold the Lord's hand is not short that he cannot save.'(Isaiah 59:1) You hand is literally short. No matter how tall you are and how big you are, there are some problems that your hand cannot fix. However, the hand of the Almighty is long enough, big enough, strong enough to deliver you. Get the problems out of your hands and into the hands of God. Start praising him and you will see the hand of God at work. Whenever the Scriptures talks about the 'hand of God' it is always connected with the miraculous. As you roll your cares upon him today, start praising him and you will see the miraculous explode in your life.(G.A)
